Originally a student at Rhythm City, Ariel was a key member of our competition teams, Soul Groovers and Beat-Breakers. She later went on to run and choreograph for our teams Atomic and Incranium. Ariel is now a co-director at Rhythm City Dance Studio in Plymouth, where she has been instrumental in developing a youth company program to help dancers enhance their skills and advance their dance careers.

Ariel, who hails from Singapore, began ballet lessons at the age of four before moving on to Latin American Ballroom Dancing. She relocated to the UK in 2009, where she was introduced to the world of street dance and choreography.

 

Together with her brother, Ariel won the Over-16 Advanced Duo World Championship titles at the UDO World Street Dance Championships in 2010 and 2012. They also claimed the Champion of Champions title.

Ariel’s talent has earned her recognition on national television, with appearances on Sky 1’s Got To Dance, ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, and The Greatest Dancer.

In the summer of 2018, Ariel was handpicked by world-renowned choreographer Brian Friedman to be part of his mentorship program, recognizing her as a choreography prodigy. Her choreography has been showcased at prestigious events such as Move It and Breakin' Convention.

Having been with Rhythm City for over 10 years, Ariel has played a key role in helping countless dancers achieve their potential—whether it be securing jobs or gaining acceptance into their chosen universities.
